A Company Changes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
My post today is about how a company has changed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. My aunt Marilyn owns a chain of ten retail clothing stores in B.C. She designes clothing out of wool, Bamboo and other products. When ordered by the government she had to close down all her stores because of the COVID-19, she had to lay off most of her staff and rely on online sales only. She got an idea and decided to make non medical fashion masks and gloves for sale. Marilyn thought that having regular masks made people look like geeks but wearing her fashion non medical masks would be more interesting and people would buy them online.
Her idea was easy but getting the gloves and the masks to sell was tough. She had to:

- Arrange with the sewers to make the masks and gloves
- Had to arrange shipment to her warehouse
- Changed her website
- Email all her customers about the new masks and gloves
Marilyn said that "It was a lot of work, but she is proud about the finished product as it helps people who want to be protected during the COVID-19 crisis." It allowed her to rehire some of her employees to handle the new online sales of masks and gloves.
